All State Sugar Bowl JVA World Challenge FAQ
What are the dates for the All State Sugar Bowl JVA World Challenge? The event will be held April 2 – 4, 2010.
Where will it be held? The All State Sugar Bowl JVA World Challenge will be held in New Orleans, LA at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
What is the cost? The cost is $650/team.
Do I have to be a JVA member to play? No. While we encourage membership in JVA, clubs do not have to be JVA members to participate. To learn more about JVA membership visit www.jvaonline.org.
How can I register my team? You can register your team at www.advancedeventsystems.com.
What are the hotel rates? Rates are mostly under $100/night. Please visit www.advancedeventsystems.com for rates at specific hotels.
Do I have to stay in a certain hotel just to play? No. The JVA does not have a Stay to Play policy.
What is Stay to Play? Stay to Play is the policy that many events use requiring teams to stay in their hotel blocks in order to play in their events.
How can I reserve my hotel? You can reserve your rooms at www.advancedeventsystems.com
What insurance do we need? Insurance is provided to all participants through the JVA
Is this a USAV event? It is not a USAV Sanctioned event.
Is this a qualifier? It is not a USAV Sanctioned event.
Is this event replacing another event? No, this event is not replacing another event.
What about the JVA Championships? This year the JVA teams are participating in the AAU championships in June 2010 in Orlando. The mid-year events replace our end of the year event. We will re-evaluate our plans for 2011 events after this season.
Will there be an AVCA Talent Showcase at the event? Yes the AVCA will be hosting a Talent Showcase at this year’s event on Thursday, April 1, 2010.
When will registration for the Talent Showcase open? Registration will open in early February 2010. You will be able to register online at www.avca.org.
What ages can participate in the AVCA Talent Showcase? The Talent Showcase is for unsigned and uncommitted girls in the classes of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
What is the cost to participate in the AVCA Talent Showcase? Pricing is being finalized, we expect the cost to be around $79 per participant.
